Virtus.pro loses to OpTic Gaming in New Challengers Stage
Our team faced OpTic Gaming in the second best-of-1 round of FACEIT Major: London 2018 New Challengers Stage.
The Poles vetoed Overpass, Inferno, and Nuke, while the Dutch team decided not to show the viewers Dust_2, Train, and Cache. Virtus.pro's Mirage offense start proved to be quite problematic, as the Poles only managed to take 4 rounds before the side swap.
VP mustered a fairly decent map control following the side swap, as OpTic Gaming were denied a quick victory even with such a round advantage. Byali and snatchie delivered a quality clutch in the round number 25 by retaking a plant in a 2 v 4 situation. The Danes lost another 2 rounds after that, but then, thanks to their rebuilt economy, OpTic ended the match with a single A push – 13:16.
