Virtus.pro reach DH Las Vegas 2017 semifinal

In a best-of-3 quarterfinal of DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017 Virtus.pro played mousesports. VP.G2A had placed second in Group B and mouz topped Group D.

First map stats (Train):

The match start with Train chosen by the Poles. Snax won the knife round for VP.G2A with a 1vs4 clutch. Virtus.pro started for CT, but lost five rounds in a row (0:5). Breaking the streak, the Polish side repelled two attacks (2:6). A round later TaZ killed three enemies with shotgun (3:6). Losing another round, VP.G2A went on a winning streak to win the first half (8:7).

Virtus.pro won the pistol round with a quick attack on A. The Bears kept playing aggressively, quickly entering the plants. After two ecos VP.G2A won the first gun round (12:7). Virtus.pro continued their series of successful attacks which was finished in the 23rd round (15:8). A stable economy allowed the Poles to keep rolling and win the first map (16:8).

Second map stats (Mirage):

The match continued on mouz’s Mirage. The Poles started with a quick attack on A (1:0). mousesports made a force buy and set up a trap on B to win the round (1:1). The teams traded rounds again and then Virtus.pro got a 2-round lead (4:2). A great performance by NiKo helped mousesports to tie the score (4:4).

VP.G2A lost two in a row and then equalized again (6:6). Before the end of the half mouz got a 3-round lead with one of them won on the back of NiKo’s 4 kills. 

The Poles won the pistol round for CT and tied (9:9). Each team won one round before Virtus.pro went got three (13:10). mousesports successfully entered plant A and broke the streak (13:11).

In the next three rounds the Poles defended A (15:11). mouz went to different plants and managed to break the defence and steal three map points (15:14). Despite the streak, VP.G2A repelled yet another attack on A and won the match (16:14).

In the semifinal Virtus.pro G2A will face Astralis. The match starts on February 19, 20:00 CET.
