Virtus.pro tied with Team Secret and TNC
Complicated day for our team at TI8.
Virtus.pro – Team Secret – 1:1
The first game started off with a first blood in Virtus.pro's favor. Both teams opted into a more defensive laning phase. VP were more successful in a couple of skirmishes and launched ahead. The first Roshan was claimed by our team. Team Secret lost as much as 6 of their heroes under their Highground on the 29-minute mark. Five minutes later, No[o]ne turned the tables around and scored a double kill, forcing Team Secret to surrender.
RAMZES666 opened up the second game with a first blood. The teams went toe-to-toe in the early game. Team Secret then won a skirmish around 13th minute by sending 3 VP heroes respawning. While VP have claimed the first Roshan, Secret managed to negate our team's advantage by eliminating the Aegis. CIS representatives have fallen behind in a couple of teamfights and lost top lane's barracks. After losing the core heroes once again, VP have conceded – 1:1.
Virtus.pro – TNC – 1:1
The first game started off with an aggressive tug-of-war around the mid-lane control. Even though TNC were leading in net-worth in the early game, Virtus.pro were more successful in skirmishes. After taking the first Roshan, VP closed the distance in gold even more. The second Roshan was claimed by the CIS team, as well. In the following teamfight, TNC lost all their core-heroes and were forced to turtle inside their base. Seeing the opportunity, Virtus.pro launched a couple of attacks on enemy's Highground and cemented their victory on the 50-minute mark.
In the second game, TNC Predator took the lead from the very beginning. Thanks to their extremely aggressive playstyle around the entire map, the Asian line-up claimed the Roshan on the 22nd minute. However, VP continued to fight back – our victory in a teamfight restored the balance of power on the map. On the 32nd minute, our team won yet another teamfight by sending 4 opponent's heroes respawning, which allowed VP to effortlessly take the Roshan. Following that, VP launched an unsuccessful attempt to pinch TNC inside their base, which cost VP dearly. TNC retaliated by winning a teamfight and turning around to take all our team's structures, tying the series 1:1.
