Virtus.pro advances to EPICENTER grand-finals!
A beautiful victory over G2 – 2:1!
Cache (16:9)
The opening map – Cache – was started by Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas' offensive 4K. The Poles finished the first half in a convincing fashion by taking 8 rounds on the T side. The second half of the map was also clean for the Polish team – 8:2 thanks to their superior defense plus the crucial 3K clutch from TaZ in the map-deciding round – 16:9. A victory on the opponent's pick – a perfect start!
Nuke (14:16)
Nuke was VP's pick, but G2 managed to win 8 rounds on defense. The sideswap was also characterized by G2's initiative – 9:12. Guys from Virtus.pro found the tenacity to fight back, nearly taking the match to the overtime. The French, though, were more cold-blooded in the vital rounds – 14:16.
Inferno (16:10)
EPICENTER 2017's finalists were decided on Inferno. The first half of the map was dominated by the Polish high-level defense; the second pistol round was also claimed by the Poles. Later, G2 managed to rebuild their economy and scored 5 points (13:10) before finally getting out-edged in the three final full-buy rounds. Virtus.pro is in EPICENTER grand-finals for the second time in a row!
