Virtus.pro scored a confident victory against Cloud9 in IEM Katowice 2017

Virtus.pro faced Cloud9 in round three of the group stage of IEM Katowice 2017. Virtus.pro vetoed Cache, Overpass and Cobblestone, while Cloud9 got rid of Inferno, Nuke and Train.

The match was played on Mirage. The Poles started on offense with a victory in the pistol round. Cloud9 were able to snatch the initiative, but VP.G2A took it back already in the round after that (2-1).

Playing aggressively via middle and on A, Virtus.pro G2A managed to gain a significant lead in the first half (8-2). C9 only won back two points before switching sides: 11-4.

The Poles took the second pistol round as well (12-4). VP.G2A made no mistakes during the opponent’s force buy, and then also had the upper hand in the weapon round (15-4). Ahead in economy, Virtus.pro took the game to victory without any particular difficulty: 16-4.

Brazil-based SK Gaming will be Virtus.pro G2A’s next opponent. The match will be held 2 March at 16:15 CET.
