Virtus.pro will face Rebels at DAC 2017 qualifiers

The organizers of Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 held a drawing of the tournament group stage. The first opponents of Virtus.pro G2A will be Rebels.

Apart from Rebels and Team Spirit, LQ will play in the same group as our squad. Eight teams divided into two groups will participate in each regional qualifier. Games will be played in the GSL format. Teams that place first and second in groups will advance to the play-off held in the double-elimination format. The winner of the qualifier will participate in the main event Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 in Shanghai, China.

Evil Geniuses, Wings Gaming, OG and Newbee received invites for the championship. Invictus Gaming, Team VG.J, LGD. Forever Young and iG Vitality made it through the Chinese qualifier for DAC 2017.

The CIS qualifier will occur on February 2–13. The European, North American and Southeast Asian qualifiers will start at the same time. The main event is scheduled for March 28–April 4. The organizer of the tournament will be Perfect World. The prize pool of the championship hasn’t been announced yet.
