Virtus.pro will face Sacred in The Summit 8

The Summit 8's organizers have awarded Virtus.pro G2A the first seed in the group, as according to the Dota Pro Circuit rating. Group B and C are lead by Evil Geniuses and LGD Gaming, respectively. The teams were given a chance to pick to pick their group-stage opponents.

VP chose Sacred to Group A first. LGD Gaming's choice fell on OpTiC Gaming, while Evil Geniuses picked Team Kinguin. The final group composition will be revealed 10 December.

The Minor's group stage will be held in a circuit system. The group leaders will advance to the semi-finals, teams in the second and third places will fight for the last slot in Ro4. The play-off and Wild Card will take place in an elimination best-of-3 series, except for the grand final, which will be played in a best-of-5 format.

The final part of The Summit 8 will take place 13 through 17 of December in Los Angeles. The Minor's prize pool - $300 000 and 300 DPC points.

Virtus.pro won't be the only ones to play with a sub – Sacred's Álex "Masoku" Dávila spot will be taken by Jimmy "DeMoN" Ho. Stand-ins will be awarded 50% DPC points, the other players – 75%.
