Virtus.pro defeated Hive- in The Kiev Major qualifier

In Virtus.pro’s first group stage match at The Kiev Major qualifier, the team faced Hive-, who had advanced from the open qualifiers.

Lil had the first blood, followed by another kill for Virtus.pro four minutes into the game. Five more minutes later, Virtus.pro made the first push and took down a tower. A Roshan takedown put Virtus.pro further into the lead. By the 15-minute mark, Virtus.pro were ahead 6-0 on kills, with Hive- unable to make an impact in fights or solo duels. Having destroyed all outer towers by the 18-minute mark, VP.G2A began preparing to enter the opponent’s high ground. The first attack ended with a 3 to 1 trade in Virtus.pro’s favor, but our team decided not to risk it and retreated to wait for the fifth player. After Solo’s return, VP attacked Hive-‘s high ground again, scoring four kills and taking down the barracks. VP.G2A decided to take it slowly, but the opponent gg’d, forfeiting the match under Virtus.pro’s pressure.

Team Spirit will be VP.G2A’s next opponent. The match will be played March 10 at 15:00 CET.
