Virtus.pro won against Misfits at DH Las Vegas 2017
In the first match of the group stage at DreamHack Master Las Vegas 2017, Virtus.pro faced Misfits in a best-of-1.
Match stats (Cobblestone):
The match was played on Cobblestone. Virtus.pro started on defense. Misfits took the first three rounds (0-3). In the first buy round, VP.G2A repelled an attack on the A site (1-3). Two rounds later, the Poles bridged the score gap (3-3). Both teams continued to trade rounds, evening the score twice more (5-5). Misfits then took the lead thanks to coordinated teamplay during attacks on the B site (5-7).
In round 14, NEO won a 1v2 clutch (6-7). The following round began with a double shotgun kill by Snax and continued with a knife kill by Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas (7-7). Before switching sides, pashaBiceps won a 1v2, taking Virtus.pro into the lead (8-7).
Now on offense, the Bears lost the pistol round, but immediately made up for it and won a force buy (9-8). Misfits had a successful force buy of their own, and then repelled an attack on the A site (9-10). After losing two rounds in a row, VP.G2A took the B site and stopped the opponent’s winning streak (10-12).
Focusing on the B site, Virtus.pro had an impressive series of four won rounds in a row (14-12). In round 27, NEO and Snax played a situation well while outnumbered (15-12). Four kills by Wiktor “Taz” Wojtas in the following round took the Bears to a 16-12 victory.
Gambit Esports will be VP.G2A’s next opponent. The match will be held 17 February at 2:05 CET.
