Roman Dvoryankin: "It was no-one’s fault but mine"

Roman Dvoryankin, Virtus.pro General Manager, spoke in an interview with CyberSport.ru about the causes of the team’s default losses at the DAC 2017 qualifiers. The head of the organization answered questions about the choice of the location for the bootcamp and commented on the dismissal of Andrey Kvasnevsky, the Dota 2 roster manager.

The initial plan was for the bootcamp to start a little later, which meant our guys would play the DAC qualifiers from home. The initiative came from the team; that’s how much the guys were itching for battle, how strongly they wanted to get together after two tournaments that hadn’t been particularly successful. In the end, we decided to gather up at the bootcamp a little earlier. As head of the organization, I am directly responsible for what happened. We had come to the bootcamp before it was ready; we hadn’t sufficiently tested its various systems. It was no-one’s fault but mine.
