Our team’s run in Kiev ends with a 9th–11th place finish
VP.G2A played a match against fnatic in the fourth round of the SL i-League StarSeries S3 Finals group stage. The game was played on Inferno, with Virtus.pro vetoing Cache, Train, and Overpass, while the Swedish team had declined Nuke, Mirage, and Cobblestone.

The Poles prevailed in the knife round and picked the defense side. Early aggression in the pistol round gave VP an advantage, but fnatic were able to enter the A site. Two rounds later, Virtus.pro repelled an attack on the A site thanks to three kills by pashaBiceps (1-3).
The Swedes made two quick kills on banana and entered the B site (1-4). The Polish team attempted to play in safe positions, but fnatic continued their winning streak (1-6). In Round 13, Virtus.pro held back a slow attempt to enter the B site (2-11). The Swedes’ economy allowed them to full-buy for the remaining two rounds of the first half of the map, and win it: 2-13.
In the second pistol round, VP.G2A planted the bomb on the B site, but KRiMZ won a 1v2 clutch (2-14). Two more attacks by Virtus.pro were unsuccessful (2-16).
The defeat against fnatic spelled an end to our team’s run in the Kiev championship. Virtus.pro G2A finished in the 9th–11th place, earning $6,000.
