"It's probably in our heads, in our minds". Snax – about ESL One New York and future
Janusz "Snax" Pogozelski commented team's perfomance at ESL One New York in interview for HLTV.org.
Let's start with what's going on within the team after the last few events, what's the morale like in Virtus.pro right now?
I think we're just kind of lost in our game, we can't find ourselves, maybe it's a lack of motivation, Maybe, I don't know, actually, what the thing is that we need to work on to become better. It's probably in our heads, in our minds, it's hard to say.
You've been known to swap around in-game leaders every now and again, I now know that was not the case for this event, but tell me what makes you change leaders aside from disappointing events.
I think we changed in-game leading in April after the Ukrainian tournament, SLTV, NEO said he wanted to have a break from in-game leading, but after it, it was more like he wasn't that motivated to do it. And that's why I took the role.
I don't know if it was a good decision from our side, maybe it wasn't, because our game didn't change that much. It's also not just about the in-game leading, it's more like we have some problem in the team. I don't know what to do, the in-game leading role doesn't affect that much probably, maybe my skill gets a little bit lower, because I don't focus that much on the crosshair and rather on my guys, what they are doing, and I need to think about it.
Have you talked about what you're going to do in the future, you have ELEAGUE Premier coming up, are there going to be any changes in the meantime? Are changes in leadership something you are looking at?
Maybe this time we're going to change this role, maybe I will focus more on the game than being a leader. Maybe that's going to help, maybe it was the main thing that I should be a player who only focuses on the game, not on the team that much. Yeah, we're probably going to change something, maybe it's the in-game leader role, I don't know yet.
