olofmeister, morelz and other Virtus.pro stand-ins
Piotr "morelz" Taterka will play for Virtus.pro at DreamHack Open Valencia 2018, but that's not the first time for our team to be supported by stand-ins.
Michał "MICHU" Müller
The rifler from our CS:GO roster performed as a stand-in for Virtus.pro more often than anyone else in the history of the team. He has also set the best record out of all stand-ins – the third place in Gfinity 2015 Spring Masters 1. During that time, MICHU had temporarily replaced Snax.
Also, MICHU played as a stand-in for VP in Caseking King of Kings, where Michał had replaced Jarosław «pashaBiceps» Jarząbkowski in a match against London Conspiracy.
Before his arrival to Virtus.pro, MICHU had helped the team 6 times:
- IEM San Jose 2015 (stand-in for Snax)
- SLTV StarSeries XI (stand-in for NEO)
- Game Show CS:GO League 2014 (stand-in for NEO)
- ESEA Invite Season 17 Europe (stand-in for NEO)
- Caseking King of Kings (stand-in for pashaBiceps)
- Gfinity 2015 Spring Masters 1 (stand-in for Snax)
Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson
The only time Polish Virtus.pro roster was represented by a non-Polish player happened during Caseking King of Kings. In the first match of the group stage Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson played for VP, replacing Jarosław «pashaBiceps» Jarząbkowski, who, in turn, considers Olof his best friend.
Even though the FaZe Clan player couldn't help our ream overcome London Conspiracy, he scored a brilliant triplekill on Overpass.
Jacek "MINISE" Jeziak
During Fragbite Masters Season 3's LAN-final our team was forced to perform with a stand-in. Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski was being replaced by Jacek "MINISE" Jeziak, who played two matches for VP. Even though both were lost by our team, MINISE earned a highlight with his interesting play on Dust2 in a match against TEAM LDLC.
Piotr "morelz" Taterka
Our team plays in ESEA league with a stand-in, and Piotr "morelz" Taterka replaces Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski until the middle of July. During this time, morelz has already proved himself more than capable. In one of his first matches for VP, morelz scored a brilliant clutch in a 1 v 3 situation.
Even though Piotr couldn't carry Virtus.pro through DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018's qualifiers, he showed his best effort in the matches against Space Soldiers and 3DMAX.
At the moment, Taterka has already played 5 matches for our team.
Gleb "glebke" Chernyavskiy
The most unusual stand-in happened in a friendly football match between Virtus.pro and SK Gaming. The game was played on German Bundesliga's FC Cologne home arena right after ESL One Cologne 2017's finale. Instead of Alexey "Solo" Berezin, who needed to practice for The International, Virtus.pro's main editor Gleb «glebke» Chernyavskiy entered the field. Our team was extremely close to victory, but made a series of mistakes at the end of the match and lost.
